I am a graduate from The University of Leeds having studied BA (Hons) Art and Design (Industrial). Through university projects I uncovered the power of street photography and it’s veracity in presenting everyday life. The simplicity in the ordinary and everyday is something that I believe is taken for granted. As I continue to travel I find greater and greater strength in assuming the role of the ‘flaneur’ or social observer in order to connect with a place and the people found there. There is no intrusion but, simply a visual commentary and incredibly transparent documentation of life.

I attempt to translate this same philosophy/mentality into my commercial photography. Immersing myself within the event and finding candid images, reducing any sense of artifice can give a more beautiful selection of resulting photographs of a person or people living within the moment.

I look to continue my travelling and begin to produce more documentary style collections of images focussing on the stories behind each image.
